I'm a retired Physical Therapist, (DPT) who is passionate about combining therapeutic foundations with training in fitness, yoga, and other aspects of wellness such as efficient posture, breath patterns, body movement, and mindfulness. (See PRiSM's meaning)
Corporate clients appreciate my applicable tips to alleviate pain of workplace demands by retraining the body in posture placement and efficient biomechanics. As a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS), my evaluations and design of work stations at home or in office settings, in the field or in a specific occupational movement create a more efficient work environment and save employer's money. Along with ideals from an undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management, my goal is to bring more power to a persons day with less wear and tear on the body.
Private clients also ream the benefits from my studies and certification as a Special Population Specialist (CSPS) trained in treating clients in personal training programs for optimal health and fitness. Breath awareness and efficient diaphragmatic use is always brought into all workshops, classes, and private sessions. Yoga is used as an adjunct to provide the client with exactly what they need and desire to have in their customized routine. My yoga encompasses ways to provide relief to specific body ailments, tips to get the most out of each yoga pose, as well as tapping into your own wellspring of health within the spiritual body. Additional stress based management techniques are implemented with clients who have anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and hormone imbalances.
